Milecastle celebrates 10 successful years

Staff of Milecastle Housing are celebrating a decade of achievements in providing housing and services for the people of Tynedale.

In December 1999, the former Tynedale Council transferred all its 3,500-strong housing stock to the newly formed Tynedale Housing, to allow new investment to be ploughed into the properties.

Since then it has chalked up a number of notable achievements which include completing its first sizeable development at The Chains in Corbridge, opening a new neighbourhood office at Haltwhistle, rebranding from Tynedale Housing to Milecastle Housing, and moving to new purpose-built offices at Beaufront Park in Hexham - to name but a few!
